Happy Moments

Last week I surprised my brother in law with a photoshopped movie poster during his birthday party.

It was a riot, when he, his brother & sister, sons and sons in law discovered themselves starring in the classic 'The Magnificent Seven'. They couldn't believe being the heroes in the middle of all this gunpowder, dust and blood!

How did I go to work?

First I asked for some recent pics of my brother in law and received casual mobile shots taken during previous family gatherings, no great 'photography'. Knowing that they love action movies I searched for a suitable poster to replace the original actors with my relatives, This is what I chose:

With various color adjustments and a lot of masking and retouching I finally succeeded to integrate the various bits into a 'retro poster' with a warm sepia tint as if they had been there all along. This photo 'remodelling' stunt takes time and a good eye, but the effect is always hilarious (although the new heroes look rather tame compared to the original ones)! A printed and framed version of the final result makes a nice souvenier of such happy family moments!
