Before the holidays

Over the last two weeks we used the cool spring weather to travel the Western & Upper Galilee and around the Sea of Galilee. The North is my favorite area in Israel and it's now still juicy green and blooming with many kinds of spring flowers, fruit trees, rolling vineyards and waterfalls.
You can visit nostalgic early Jewish settlements and many famous wineries, where you can taste the most delicious grape juice and boutique wines.
Migrating birds from Europe chose Israel as a flyway to Africa and twice a year a billion such noisy visitors cross the Hula Valley and stay overnight in the reserve. I simply love the views of the lake, the grassy hills with the Golan Heights in the background and very dramatic clouds above!
Soon everybody will be emerged in frantic spring cleaning and planning for Passover. But remember, this holiday is to celebrate personal freedom, absence from slavery, awakening nature and fresh beginnings! Once in a while get a glass of wine or a cup of tea and allow yourself to contemplate your blessings with some ease and joy!
